Our third annual golf tournament was an incredible success, filled with camaraderie with a sense of purpose.

Golfers of diverse backgrounds united for a day of friendly competition and philanthropy. The air was vibrant with enthusiasm as players demonstrated their skills on the course, creating enduring memories and fostering new friendships.

A highlight of the event was the charity raffles, where participants eagerly awaited the chance to win remarkable prizes, all while supporting a noble cause. These raffles added an extra layer of excitement and unity, symbolizing the collective effort towards making a positive impact. In essence, it was a heartwarming and impactful day, underscoring the power of community and generosity in creating meaningful experiences.

The second Keep Feeding Austin Golf Tournament, hosted by Tso Chinese Delivery and Chilantro BBQ, was a smashing success, bringing together the Austin community for a day of golf, food, and philanthropy. The event was held at the beautiful Avery Ranch Golf Club in North Austin.

It was heartwarming to see the community come together once again to support such an important cause, making a difference in the lives of others.

The Tsogiving Initiative partnered with Austin EMS Association and Good Work Austin in donating 200 warm meals during the winter freeze to first responders, doctors, and nurses.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provide rapid medical response and care to people in emergency situations, such as accidents or medical emergencies. Their quick response and expertise can mean the difference between life and death for those in need, making them an invaluable resource in any community.

It made our day to be able to give back to those who do so much for our local community. Thank you all for doing Tso much for our growing city of Austin, we had so much fun getting to meet each of you!

With the support of our amazing customers we were able to donate $7,868.00 to The Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine, opened by The National Bank of Ukraine, through our Blue Crab Rangoon promotion. We were able to donate $4 via our charitable arm TsoGiving for every purchase of specially marked Blue Crab Rangoons ❤️.

Our Tso family and team extends beyond Austin and would not be where we are today without the help and work of some of our amazing software development team located in Ukraine. Tso Chinese Delivery teamed up with our friends from Chi’Lantro to host Keep Feeding Austin Charity Golf Tournament on November 11th at Forest Creek Golf Club. Co-title sponsored by Tenet Design Partners and UBS, and hosted by Jae Kim and our co-founder & CEO, Min Choe, we were able to raise support for our restaurant’s respective charitable campaigns.

“So much of our Austin community is hurting right now as we continue to try to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. It’s so important that local businesses come together and support the very community that we serve,” said Choe. “I am honored to join forces with my good friend, Jae Kim, to combine a fun, outdoor event in golf, to help raise funds to allow our organizations to continue our mission of giving back and Keep Feeding Austin.”

Through the generosity of our participants, our proceeds from the event were upwards of $54,000 in funds to support local educators, healthcare workers, and families in need. Please know every dollar raised—from sponsorships and golfer packages to raffle and live auction items—will be utilized by our charitable arms #TsoGiving and #ChiLantroCares to bring meals to those still in need in the local Austin area.

Tso Chinese Delivery will be donating up to 1,000 gift credits in the amount of $25 to Austin area teachers and staff members.

Submissions will open at 4pm beginning August 17th through August 30th, until the maximum applications are received for each day (75 applications per day).

In February 2021, Texas was hit by an unprecedented winter storm that left millions without power, water, and food. During this difficult time, we at Tso stepped up to help the community by donating meals to those in need.
We recognized the urgency of the situation and knew that many families were struggling to put food on the table. With our team's dedication, we were able to prepare and deliver hot meals to over 100 families in need in the local area.
It was our way of giving back to the community that has supported us over the years, and we were proud to be able to make a difference during a challenging time.

We are continuing our #TsoGiving curbside, contactless drive through offering FREE MEALS to anyone in need, no questions asked.

For the months of July and August 2020, we continued our outreach to the community to help families in need. Based off nominations, we selected one Austin-area family in need, at random, to receive $500 in Tso credit for July. The August recipients of the $500 credit were an elderly couple who work as substitute teachers facing financial hardships due to school closures in recent months.

For the month of May, 2020, and in observance of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4-8), #tsogiving recognized the commitment and hard work by our beloved teachers. Often underappreciated and underpaid, teachers play one of the most important roles in our communities as role models to our children. Tso Chinese Delivery’s #tsogiving campaign donated $50,000 ($50 each to 1,000 teachers) in credit towards meals for teachers working for Austin area school districts.

In the month of April, 2020, #tsogiving provided $40,000 worth of food to families who have been displaced by COVID-19. Cars lined up in front of the Tso Chinese Delivery Arboretum Crossing location, where they were provided meals by Tso and Snap Kitchen, water from Richard’s Rainwater, tea from Zhi Tea, and over 5000 eggs from Vital Farms. This was made possible in part through a generous donation from Alpha Paving Industries, who has been an integral part of #tsogiving’s campaign to feed those in need.
